(13/11/2015)  Darts now available on Wednesday nights

A big thank you to Alan Weir for erecting the two dart boards at The Short Strand Community Centre for use by the Northern Ireland Polio Fellowship.

So darts has now been added to our available games. The two boards will enable darts to be played by those who can stand and also those who wish to throw from a wheel chair.

The facilities are open to all members free of charge on a Wednesday night from 7 to 9pm.

Other games can be considered if there is a demand. Why not come along and enjoy a night with old friends.

As ever our sincere thanks to Short Strand Community Centre for making these excellent facilities available to us.

(4/11/2015)  Hobbs Night Roaring Success

A massive thank you to Pauline Scott for organising the Hobbs Night to raise funds for the Fellowship towards the cost of next years British Polio Fellowship games in Leicester. Over 40 ladies had a great night, new friends were made, old friendships renewed and old stories retold. The magnificent sum of £430 was raised from ticket sales and a further £120 from sales on the night was also.

The drinks, nibbles and goodie bags were much appreciated and the lucky prize winners were thrilled with the wonderful gifts.

Thanks again to Pauline and her team in Hobbs.
