(25/9/2016)  Mid Week Break Overwhelming Success

On 20 September the annual mid week break took place at The Slieve Donard Hotel in Newcastle. The proceeds from the monthly quiz fund this event for polio survivors while their guests have to pay for their stay.

Those who went enjoyed three days of total pampering. The breakfasts and dinners were to die for. The pool was used to the full and a number of the ladies went to the Spa to be pampered.

While we were there we enjoyed games of draughts, boules, boccia and our own game of waste basket ping pong!

The craic went on to the small hours and everyone had a wonderful time. During our stay our president Sir William Hastings called to see us and left gifts for everyone and wine for dinner. Few organisations can have a president who takes such a keen interest in everything that goes on in the Fellowship.

Any member who goes to the monthly quiz on a regular basis is entitled to go on the mid week break. The next quiz is the first to help fund next year's break so why not make a commitment to go to the quiz and join us next year.

Photos will be uploaded later.
